Don't know if this helps or not....
Heroes and hench AI isn't that great, but I have found shift clicking the res to disable it on the heroes is really helpful or give them the rez sig.the downside is they don't res unless told too or leave 1 to res, unless you force them to cast it. that should solve your issue with them running away to res(at least for the heroes).
As for them attacking your target try call spamming the target it. That should force them to attack the desired target. This also will work for ranger pets. It can annoy real players but if you are using h&h you prob don't have anyone to annoy but yourself......
btw its the left control button on the key board. Hold it in and multi-click the spell or the 1-8 key......
Hope this helps.

Yeah I've tried spamming it, nothing more annoying then getting a monk enemy to 10% health and he heals because all the ranges attacks/spells are flying in 30 different directions rather then focusing on one enemy.

LMFAO, I laughed my arse off when I read that LOL :d
Then again, I can only agree. Those hero/hench are too dumb to let them walk around without you holding their hands ffs

I dunno what it is, but I rarely have a problem with heroes and hench focusing on the target I call. I ping or target something, and they're on it like white on rice. My only complaint is that the monk often doesn't avoid combat as quickly as I'd like, even though I've set him to do so.
They're a little TOO enthusiastic about taking my targets on sometimes, though. I could definitely do with the "don't move an inch" button; they occasionally break rank and follow me even if I flag them way back so I can pull or something.

The major problem is if you want the melee hero's to tank.
Koss and so start running when they take damage and then your monks and spellcasters are vulnerable. This really stinks in HM.
otherwise, don't have problems with my hero's neither.

They also suck at using anything but basic builds. Any time I try giving one a build with any order required for it, they use absolutely no intelligence at all, practically just hitting skills at random. For example, I tried giving Sousuke an earth ele build that required him to use one skill to weaken them, then use stoning on the weakened opponent, but he just kept spamming Stoning, never even trying to weaken them first. (And yeah, he was running out of energy very fast).
Another time I tried giving Koss a Flourish build, but he just kept using one attack, waiting for the reset, then using it again. He didn't even at least use Flourish on that one attack.
They also refuse to use certain skills at all. I gave Jora Poison Tip Signet, and she NEVER used it.

Usually you don't have problesm with heroes... but there are tmes when you' just want them to "STAY YOUR [insert swearword here] GROUND!!!"
My solution to the problem was this one:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10157317
Read it, you'll like it.
It's perfect for all situations:
- Sticking near a Flame Djinn.
- Forcing them to stay behind a wall.
- Do not let healers to get too much close to the enemy.
- Prevent them from getting inside areas of affect.
- Prevent them from leaving shrines...
- Etc...

One thing that I've been noticing is and is REALLY annoying is in the Zaishen elite I have ward of weariness/ward of melee up, and against the full iway team they can't stand still for 10 seconds the first hit and they are fleeing out of the ward of melee wich is really one of the few things that will save their butts.
Plus I've seen too many cases of where we either don't get the healing we need, or a enemy takes needlessly long to kill because instead of holding their ground for a few seconds to kill a mob they are busy fleeing from some enemy thats doing 10 damage to them and barly hurting them.

Agree, I hate when monk runs around if a Djinn casts SF instead of casting LoD. Or when a melee runs away because a mob casted, OH MY FREAKIN' GOD!, HOLY WRATH! Run, Koss, Run... Let them spike our squishies (that's me!). But don't worry, your hair will be just fine if you just STAY THERE AND LET MONK HEAL YOU! So, who still says that heroes = easier way?

It's pretty annoying/difficult to hero/hench without you yourself being a monk or other healer to fix all of their petty mistakes. That said, I am really enjoying my micro double arcane MS and BiP heroes. They support my healinz prety wel.
